To see spiritual transformation in the inner-city streets of Waco, TX, and beyond, Disciple the Streets (DTS), Mission & Movement shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We call individuals to committed discipleship, train them to walk with Jesus, and send them out to make more disciples.

Disciple the Streets (DTS)

Mission & Movement aims to spiritually transform our communities and broken individuals within the inner-city streets of Waco, TX and beyond. The DTS squad shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ, challenges people to commit to becoming a disciple of Jesus, trains them to follow Jesus and sends them out to reproduce disciples.

WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of men and women who are concerned about the lack of light in our communities. Many of us are from the streets and have dealt with long lasting battles with addiction, fatherlessness, abandonment, low self-esteem, depression, suicide, incarceration, drug selling, gang banging, violence and many other destructive behaviors. Today, we are all following Jesus and taking the gospel to the streets!

WHAT DO WE DO?

DTS provides a ray of hope to “the least of these” through a holistic approach of Christ-centered discipleship. In an effort to reach people where they are and during their most hopeless moments, DTS reaches out late at night by sharing the word through music, testimony, free food and praying for others in some of the worse hoods across the Waco & surrounding areas.

WHY DO WE DO IT?

It’s simple! Christ said, “go make disciples of all people, baptize them…and teach them to obey the ways of Christ'” - Matthew 28:19-20. We use our testimonies to make the gospel known and clear. When it’s all said and done, we seek to raise up people from the streets that we can teach and train to be disciples that make disciples.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

We have many methods of evangelism including Hip-Hop music outreaches (Hip-Hop Hope Waco) that provide street corner testimonials from people who lived a life far from God. We also have resources for discipleship which is providing a unique teaching method.

BROTHERHOOD

Within this brotherhood, they find mutual support, encouragement, and accountability. They share the triumphs and struggles of life, knowing they have a network of brothers who understand and uplift them. This shared experience deepens their understanding of the Gospel as they explore it together, and it fosters an environment where iron sharpens iron through intentional discipleship. They challenge and inspire each other to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to actively live out their faith in the inner city of Waco and beyond.

SISTERHOOD

The sisterhood intentionally build relationships where they can be open and honest, knowing they have a community of sisters who will both support and challenge them. This accountability isn't about judgment but about a shared desire to grow closer to Jesus and live out His teachings authentically. Through these strong connections and mutual accountability, they are empowered to make a lasting impact in their community.
